Facebook tested a free voice calling feature for Canada users earlier this month, the social networking giant has now rolled out the feature to iPhone users in the United States, According to Verge reports.

Facebook Messenger now allows iPhone users to make calls to other iPhone users for free via WiFi connection, with no carrier data charges, or using their cellular-data connection plan from anywhere. Users do not need to update the app in order to use the new feature.

Facebook said, we are also working on adding this feature to its Messenger app for Android and BlackBerry users.

How to Use ? - Users can initiate a voice call by selecting a friend from their conversation list for iPhone and will now see an "i" button on the top right of their app that when tapped offers the option to make a "Free Call" to another iPhone user using the service.

In this week, Facebook also announced a smart search engine - called Graph Search - that allows users to make "natural" searches of content shared by their friends.
